In addition to many older Firecrackers getting actively recruited by college coaches this summer, many of our younger players have been recognized for their performances at basketball camps over the past two months.

At Colby camp last week, Eva Mazur was moved from the junior high division to the high school division and not only competed well, but was awarded the MVP award for the high school division. Colby also named an All Star team for the top five players in each division and in the junior high division all five All Stars play for the Firecrackers. Congratulations to Brooke Obar, Katie Whitmore, Grace Soucy, Josie Couture, and Maggie Whitmore for being chosen All Stars and to Eva Mazur for being named MVP.

At Hoop Camp last week Jacqui Hamilton was named Most Improved Player and Julz Colby was named MVP of her division. Julz and Jacqui also were 2/3rds of the team that won the 3 on 3 championship.

At McAuley Camp this week Anna DeWolfe was named team MVP, Emma McCauley awarded Best Attitude and Most Dedicated, Brooke Clement won Best Team Player, Eva Clement earned Most Improved and Best Teammate, Molly Obar won the Hustle Award, and Camille Clement won Most Aggressive.

At Duke Camp 2 weeks ago, Camille Clement was named Best Blue Devil Defender and chosen for the All Star game in the 10-13 year old division.

Finally, Tara Flanders was part of a co-ed 3 on 3 tournament hosted by Windham Youth Basketball that won the championship in her division. In all, 48 teams committed. Emily Weisser and Eva Mazur were on the runner up team.

Congratulations to these girls and all the others that are representing the Firecrackers so well.
