Alex Goodman, a sophomore at Pine Tree Academy, scored her 1,000th career point in the first quarter of last Saturday’s 31-16 victory against Islesboro. Goodman now has 1,068 points entering Saturday’s regular-season finale against Hyde.
Coach Josh Dayen said he didn’t realize Goodman reached 1,000 until he and assistant coach Nate Goodman – Alex’s father – totaled the stats.
A starter since her eighth-grade year, Goodman has a career average of 18.9 points per game.
