Davenport’s season-high 28 points propels Bates to 70-45 victory
Firecracker is leading the Bobcats in scoring with nearly 15 points and 6 rebounds per game
The Bates women’s basketball team led wire-to-wire in a 70-45 victory over the D’Youville Spartans Friday afternoon in the consolation game of the 2016 Salem State Women’s Holiday Tournament.
Junior Nina Davenport (Freeport, Maine) scored a season-high 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Bobcats (3-7) to victory. Davenport earned a spot on the 2016 All-Tournament Team thanks to her outstanding performance on Friday. She shot 10-17 from the field including 4-9 from three. Davenport also tallied a career-high seven assists to pace Bates in that category as well.
