Firecrackers ready for the adidas Silver Gauntlet Showcase

15U and 16U are coming off a combined 6-2 weekend at the Deep South Classic

Both the 15U and 16U Firecrackers will head south of Boston this coming weekend, to compete in the adidas Silver Gauntlet Showcase. All games will be played at the University Sports Complex in Hanover, MA.

16U will meet the NY Gauchos (1:50 PM) and Connecticut Basketball Club (4:10 PM) on Saturday. Both games are on Court 4. 15U, meanwhile, will play Hooper NY (10:20 AM) and Boston Showstoppers (1:50 PM) on Court 2. Scores and schedules will be updated on Tourney Machine.

The two national travel teams are each coming off 3-1 weekends at the Deep South Classic, in Raleigh, NC, the first of two “live” events this spring. 16U opened with the Deep South with a 53-35 win against Brampton Bounce, before falling in sudden death OT to a loaded Carolina Waves team. 15U dropped their tournament opener, before running off three straight wins to close the weekend.

The Silver Gauntlet is the first of two live Zero Gravity events for girls in 2017. This event is a Division I certified exposure showcase where college coaches and scouts will be able to scout future prospects. This highly competitive event will bring together the top prospects in the region under one roof to see who will qualify for the renowned adidas Uprising Summer Championships.
