For six Firecrackers, the road ends in Washington, DC
High school teams will compete in US Junior Nationals, July 22-25
This coming weekend, nearly 360 girls club basketball programs will converge on Washington, DC, to participate in the US Junior Nationals.
For the 15U and 16U Maine Firecrackers, this represents the final opportunity to compete together this season. And for six rising seniors, it will be their last time wearing the Orange & Blue.
Alex Hart (Thornton Academy), Sophie Glidden (Scarborough), Alex Goodman (Pine Tree), Meghan Graff (South Portland), Eva Mazur (South Portland) and Emme Poulin (Cheverus) have a huge task ahead of them this weekend in the nation’s capitol. In order to advance to single elimination championship play, teams will need to win their respective pools.
Live scoring results during the event can be found at www.usjn.com, on the even page under “schedule” area.
