Margaret Rigney, Olivia Dalphonse, Victoria Lux, Abby Hamilton, Ashley Storey, Katie McCrum, and Jess Willerson get to work at the Preble Street Soup Kitchen. (Bailey Adams is standing behind Storey!).

The 14u Firecrackers(Clement) satisfied their charitable obligation last night by volunteering at the Preble St Soup Kitchen by serving 374 people in need of a meal. Bucky Johnson of RBC Wealth Management and Supervisor at Preble Street last night said, “Those Firecracker girls were amazing. They worked hard, displayed compassion and great manners, and dove right in to help in any way they could.” Among duties performed were serving line, dish washing, waiting tables, and clean up. Representing the Firecrackers were Katie McCrum, Abby Hamilton, Bailey Adams, Olivia Dalphonse, Margaret Rigney, and the “Triple Towers” -Victoria Lux, Ashley Storey, and Jess Willerson. Greg Hamilton assisted in the kitchen, Mike Lux and Tom Willerson unloaded a truck full of supplies while Julie Elwell waitressed and Doug “No Dishpan Hands” Adams stepped up for dish washing duties.

The Firecracker Program embraces humility, unselfishness, and gratitude. Community service enables the girls opportunities to appreciate how fortunate they are and more importantly to reach out to others in need in our community.

Thanks to all of you who represented the Firecracker name so well and may we always remember those in need.
