Firecrackers Lead McAuley to State Championship
Firecrackers Olivia Smith, Allie Clement, Victoria Lux, Sarah Clement and Olivia Dalphonse are among the McAuley players storming the court after the team clinches its 3rd straight Class A Girls title.
Firecracker post players, Olivia Smith and Victoria Lux, had outstanding performances in the paint, leading McAuley to a 60-45 victory in the Class A State Championship Saturday night. Smith finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds while Lux dominated the boards with 19 to go along with her 11 points. Firecracker guard Allie Clement contributed 13 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals while Olivia Dalphonse had a key jump shot along with some outstanding defense against Denae Johnson from Bangor. Freshman Sarah Clement scored 9 points and added 3 assists.
