Firecrackers Step Up and Give Back to Taylor Tip-Off 2014
Last weekend the 7th grade Firecrackers and the 8th grade Firecrackers participated in the Taylor Tip Off, a fundraiser to benefit victims of domestic violence. The 7th grade team (coached by Brian Clement) finished as D1 champions, raising $2,842 while Coach Don Briggs’ 8th grade team raised $1,750. Aisling Flaherty was the individual fundraising champion, raising $905 by herself. Eighth grader Faith Blethen was named to the All Star team as a result of earning $771. Over 150 teams participated and the two Firecrackers combined raised over 20% of of the $25,000 total.
