14u to face Tennessee Rage on Sunday at noon for spot in semifinals
The Maine Firecrackers continued their winning ways in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday afternoon by defeating Sweet Rebound, 51-25. With the win, the 14u squad moves into the quarterfinal round of the AAU National Championships.
Eva Mazur (Catherine McAuley) and Sophie Glidden (Scarborough) led the scoring effort for the Firecrackers, with 12 points apiece. Rising 9th-grader Anna DeWolfe (Greely) added 10 points in the win.
Next up for the Firecrackers is a second round match-up with the Tennessee Rage. This Nashville-area AAU program finished as the Division I runner-up in their AAU State Championships, in May.
