The former Firecracker helps lift Bears to a win in her first start of the season
Brown University forward Mary Butler earned her first start of the season on Thursday night. And she didn’t disappoint in the Bears 67-65 win over Binghamton.
Playing 29 minutes, Butler scored 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting (including 1-for-1 from beyond the arc) and pulled down 8 rebounds. She added 3 assists and 2 blocks.
Through 8 games, and a 7-1 record, Butler is averaging 5.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. She is shooting just over 60% from the field.
