Wajer collects KVAC co-Player of the Year honor
Firecracker repeats as first team KVAC All-Conference selection
Lincoln Academy’s Brie Wajer had an outstanding junior season.
The dynamic point guard averaged 11 points and 5.8 assists in leading the Eagles to an 18-3 record. Those efforts warranted a 2015-16 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference co-Player of the Year award. Wajer was also named to the KVAC All-Conference first team for a second consecutive year.
Wajer scored a game-high 18 points in Lincoln’s Class B South championship game loss to Gray-New Gloucester. She averaged 12.3 points per game in the tournament, and was named the recipient of the Mike DiRenzo Award, given to the tournament’s most outstanding player-sportsman.
