Two More Firecrackers Receive Scholarship Offers

Longtime Firecrackers Ashley Storey ’15 and Sarah Clement ’16 have been recruited by UNH for several months and this week Head Coach Maureen Magarity officially offered both longtime Firecrackers full scholarships to bring their talents to Durham NH.

Storey, a 6’2″ Jumior forward called “Stretch” by her teammates, averaged 11.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks while playing for Greely last winter in spite of being limited by a shoulder injury. Storey has been a member of the Firecrackers since 7th grade and was a member of the second team Western Maine Conference last year.

Clement is a 5’7″ Sophomore who averaged 10.2 points per game while shooting 51% from the field, 43% from the 3 PT line and 82% from the foul line her freshman season. She has been a member of the Firecracker program since 4th grade and was named 3rd team All Conference in the SMAA while playing at McAuley her freshman year.

UNH is a member of the America East Conference and is currently 4-4 under the guidance of former Marist standout Maureen Magarity after finishing 12-18 last season.

Storey and Clement join Victoria Lux and Mary Butler with with current scholarship offers. Ashley Briggs, Katie McCrum, Jess Willerson, Olivia Dalphonse, Abby Hamilton, and Margaret Rigney are all receiving significant interest from various schools as well.
