Storey grabs second America East Rookie of the Week award

DURHAM, NH – Freshman Ashley Storey was named the America East Rookie of the Week for the second time in three weeks on Monday, after helping the Wildcats earn two wins last week.

On Wednesday, Storey notched a career-high nine rebounds and recorded four points en route to the Wildcats’ 63-55 victory over UMass Lowell. She also tallied a block, giving her 18 on the season. She ranks second only to teammate Carlie Pogue who has 19 this year.

In the team’s 53-42 victory over Hartford on Saturday, Storey shot lights out for the Wildcats, making 6 of her 7 field goal attempts. She scored a team-high 14 points and grabbed five boards in her 32 minutes of play.
